<td class="info_text">3D scanners  are devices that analyze a real-world object or  environment to collect data on its shape and its appearance  (i.e. color).</p>
<p>The collected data is a 3D pojnt cloud that can be used to construct 3D models<a title="Three dimensional model" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_dimensional_model"></a> useful for a wide variety of applications. 3D laser scans are used  extensively in industrial design, reverse engineering and prototyping, orthotics and prosthetics, quality control/inspection, documentation of cultural heritage and artifacts, media and entertainment.</p>
<p>Our company is specialized in the processing and post-processing of huge point-cloud data sets.</p>
<p>In order to really benefit from the point-cloud data, it is necessary to convert these  points into 3D models.</p>
<p>For this purpose, we have developed a work-flow chain integrating specialized software, procedures and highly-skilled manual work.</p>
<p>Point cloud processing is available at  two different levels:</p>
<p>1. Conversion to 3D model for marketing visualization, producing documentation and training materials.<br />
2. Conversion to 3D model on the design level (reverse engineering). At  this level, special technical investigations are carried out together with licensed industry engineers (in cooperation with our sister company  Industry &amp; Project Engineering www.ipe.sk). It is possible to seamlessly reverse-engineer point-cloud data into existing CAD software (Aveva PDMS, Autocad for example) with expert know-how and handle mission-critical engineering assignments in record times.</td>

<p>Real-time interactive visualisations ensure that images are created fast enough on the computer so that the viewer can interact naturally with virtual environments and datasets. The frame rate is the measurement of how quickly an imaging device produces unique consecutive images. If the movement of the  3D objects on the screen is not to  be jerky and visualisation is to be real-time, the application should display at  least  30 frames per second.</p>
<p>Photorealistic visualizations need complicated time-consuming renderings of the image and huge computing resources (&gt;30 minutes for some scenes). Therefore, real-time photorealistic visualization is very often out of reach of most available computers.</p>
<p>The main task of designers of real-time interactive visualisations is to optimize the shape of the  objects, textures, lighting conditions and other parameters of the  visualisation for quick rendering in such a way that the result is as close as possible to the initial scene while allowing real-time user interactions.  The more complex the 3D scene, greater is the need to optimize computation requirements.</p>
<p>The generated 3D models are displayed through a visualization software.</p>
<p>Slovakia supercomputers s.r.o offers a powerful tool for  real-time interactive visualization and display of 3D models and scenes in stereoscopic mode &#8211; the SuperEngine.</p>

Therefore, to move or rotate an object on the screen was not jerky; the  calculation must be made at least by speed 30 frames per second.  Photorealistic visualizations use full potential of complicated  calculations of the image and therefore the calculation is  time-consuming (often 30 minutes / image). Therefore, for the real-time  visualization is this type of visualization in current options of  computers impossible.<br />
Therefore the main task of designers from the beginning of developing  the model for real-time visualization is to optimize the shape of the  object, using materials, lighting conditions and other parameters of the  visualization, if possible, the least reduce the fidelity of images.  The more complex is the model (the model throughout the operation of  complex machinery, etc.), it is necessary to use a larger compromise.<br />
To display the generated 3D model is then necessary to use the  visualization software. Our company offers a powerful alternative for  visualization and display in 3D stereoscopic mode – SuperEngine.</td>
